Delhi's air quality remains 'moderate' as overall AQI docks at 128

New Delhi: Delhi's air quality remained in the 'moderate' category on Monday morning as the overall air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 128. On Sunday morning, the overall AQI of Delhi was recorded at 142. The minute increase in AQI was observed as there was a rise in the concentration of both, PM10 and PM2.5 pollutants.
According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), PM10 pollutants in Delhi were recorded at 142 on Monday morning, which comes under the 'moderate' category and PM2.5 pollutants were recorded at 59, which comes under the 'satisfactory' category.
As per the forecast, PM10 pollutants in Delhi will increase to the figure of 156 on Tuesday, which falls in the 'moderate' category while PM2.5 pollutants are expected to rise up to 65, which also falls under the same category.
During the week, PM10 pollutants are expected to reach the figure of 114, which falls under the 'moderate' category and PM2.5 pollutants are expected to reach the figure of 47, which falls under the 'satisfactory' category.
AQI of Pusa and other areas
In Pusa, PM10 pollutants were recorded at 110, which comes under the 'moderate' category while PM2.5 pollutants were recorded at 86 which falls under the 'satisfactory' category. In Mathura Road, PM10 pollutants were recorded at 154, which falls under the 'moderate' category and PM2.5 pollutants were recorded at 149, which falls under the 'moderate' category as well.
In Lodhi Road, PM10 pollutants were recorded at 120, which comes under the 'moderate' category and PM2.5 pollutants were recorded at 71, which comes under the 'satisfactory' category. In Noida, PM10 pollutants were recorded at 148, which comes under the 'moderate' category and PM2.5 pollutants were recorded at 135, which comes under the 'moderate' category.
