HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says a 20-year-old mother reported missing with her newborn daughter has been located safe.

Deputies said over the weekend that Kanasia Johnson left St. Joseph's Women's Hospital in Tampa with her newborn daughter, Brinae Sherman, on Thursday, September 10.

The sheriff's office said Johnson's parental rights were terminated with her last child and she didn't tell her case manager that she was pregnant again. Investigators said they were looking for Johnson to make sure the baby was safe.

No other information has been released.
