Facts about Sushant Singh Rajput – The sudden demise of the ‘Kedarnath’ actor, Sushant Singh Rajput left the entire Bollywood industry and the country in shock. The case for his death was transferred to the CBI on 19th August 2020. Thereafter, there have been many updates on the case, including Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest. Bollywood’s famous actor, Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Mumbai apartment on 14 June 2020. No suicide note was found by the police. His postmortem was done at Cooper Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai and the postmortem report revealed that the cause of the death was hanging. Its being reported that the actor was under stress and depression for the last 6 months. The police also found some medical reports from his apartment. His suicide has left the whole nation in shock. Condolence messages are being shared by people from all walks of life. Even PM Narendra Modi tweeted his condolences.

Sushant Singh Rajput was an Indian actor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He was born on 21 January 1986 in Patna to Usha Singh and Krishna Kumar Singh.

His mother, Usha Singh died in 2002, and in the same year, Rajput family moved from Patna to Delhi.

Education

After moving to Delhi, Rajput joined Kulachi Hansraj Model School, New Delhi. In 2003, he ranked seventh in the DCE Entrance Exam and secured admission in the Bachelor of Engineering in Delhi College of Engineering but dropped out after completing three years to pursue a career in stage and acting.

While he was in DCE, Rajput enrolled in Shiamak Davar’s dance classes where he met many students who were attending Barry John’s drama classes. Influenced by them, Sushant also joined the classes.

Sushant acting career started with television serials. His debut show was Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008) on Star Plus. Later, he was seen in Zee TV’s popular soap opera Pavitra Rishta (2009–11). This serial made him popular in every household.

Sushant made his film debut in 2013 in the buddy drama Kai Po Che for which he received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He then appeared in film Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) opposite Parineeti Chopra. He also gave an action thriller Detective Byomkesh Bakshy in 2015.

His highest-grossing film was PK in 2014 where he was in a supporting role. Rajput’s success knew no bounds after he appeared in M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story which was the biopic of M.S Dhoni.

He then gave many hit films such as Kedarnath (2018), Raabta (2017), Drive (2019), and Chhichhore (2019).

Sushant was in a long-term relationship with actress Ankita Lokhande before they split in 2016 who was her co-star in TV serial Pavitra Rishta. Currently, he was said to be dating Bollywood actress, Rhea Chakraborty.

For his performance in M.S Dhoni, he received his first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. He received the Best Male Debut award for Kai Po Che.
