Lionel Messi’s anger towards the current Barcelona board continues to grow

Lionel Messi’s dejected interview with GOAL still remains fresh in the minds of several football fans. The player was cutthroat and clear with his bitter feelings towards the current board and Josep Maria Bartomeu. Messi did not hold his feelings back at all and even stated that he will continue at Barcelona for another season only because he cannot sue the club due to his emotional attachment.

However, the showdown between the board and Messi is far from over. According to Diaro GOL, Leo Messi is furious at both Ronald Koeman and Josep Maria Bartomeu for the ill-treatment that Luis Suarez has received lately.

The unprofessional manner by which Luis Suarez has been treated to

It is rumoured that Koeman has no issues with playing Suarez, however, it is the board that wants to cash in on him this summer rather than lose him as a free agent next year. The board then shifted the burden on Koeman to dismiss Suarez which was then conducted in an unprofessional manner.

Luis Suarez is the third-highest goal-scorer for Barcelona and the player does deserve a certain level of respect as well. However, the former Liverpool ace was subjected to just a bitter phone call from Ronald Koeman that stated he is no longer part of the plans for the new season.

The way Suarez has been treated lately has not been taken well by Lionel Messi and several other senior players in the squad as well. The South American has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus. Only time will tell where the former Premier League superstar plays next. Leo Messi’s days are numbered as well as the Argentine forward will most likely leave the club next summer when his contract expires.
