China Watches Top brass Indians In Varied Sections Including PM

Amid mounting tension at the India-China border,  the reports of a Chinese government-owned website  Zhenhua Data  Information Technology Co. a company that targets a bigger number of top brass Indians from varied sectors across India including 1350 politicians including Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come out.

Amid mounting tension at the India-China border,  the report of a Chinese government-owned website  Zhenhua Data  Information Technology Co. a company that targets a bigger number of top brass Indians from varied sectors across India including 1350 politicians including Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come out. The website monitors top brass from business, the army, the judiciary, and the technology sector by collecting data through their 24-hour online service, an investigation report by the Indian Express has been revealed.

Oversees Key Information Database (OKIDB) developed by the Shengai information technology firm with links to the Chinese government and communist party.  The high profiled politicians including Primeminister of India Narendra Modi, Congres interim-head Sonia Gadhi, former PrimeMinister Manmohan Singh, West Bengal Chief  Minister Mamata Banerjee, and Maharashtra Chief Minister UddavThakerey have been included among those who have been watched by the Chinese website Zhenhua DataInformation controlled by the Chinese government and Chinese Communist Party.

The Indian Express has reported that the Chiese government-owned website is watching the largest number of top brass Indian political figures for the last two years through an investigation through granular data over a two-month-long investigation. The investigation has found out that the database that took just two years for the Shenzhen-headquartered company to build using Artificial Intelligence and big data techniques, included 700 politicians, Besides the politicians, it data comprised the details of  460 individuals who are close relatives of the politicians. A family list of 100 politicians and 350 incumbent parliamentarians and among them, the majority are members of House Committees.

The website through its online presence is monitoring is watching politicians around all sections for the largest group of high-profiled individuals in all regions and belong to all political parties and categories.  Zhenhua Data Information Technology Co-company monitoring foreign targets nearly 1350 Shenzhen closely monitoring the largest number of political figures from all sections. The website targets PrimeMinister Narendra Modi, President Ramnath Kovid, and key opposition leaders including Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi ChiefMnisters, Mamta Banerjee, Ashok Gehlot, AmarindarSingh to UddavThackeray, Naveen Patnaik, Shivraj Singh Chauhan and cabinet ministers  Rajnadh Singh, Ravi Shankar Prasad, NirmalaSitharaman, Smriti Irani and Piyush Goyal.

The monitoring of the high-profiled persons has been extended to top brass in Indian army including Chief of Defence StaffBipin Singh Rawat to former chiefs of the army, Navy, Air Force.  The Chinese website watches high profiled persons from the judicial sector comprising Chief Justice of India S A Bobde,  Justice AM Khanvilkkar to Lokapal Justice PC Ghose and COmputroller and Auditor General GC Marmi. China is not sparing the entrepreneurs from the observation boundary of its website. Nipun Mehra, founder of Bharat Pe (an Indian payment app), and Ajay Trehan of AuthBridge and authentication Technology firm, to top industrialists Ratan Tata and  Gautam Adani are included among the entrepreneurs who are being watched by the website.

The Chinese website reportedly targets individuals and institutions in sectors ranging from politics, government, business, technology media to civil society. As per  Indian Express report, the Company collects the data, ”claiming to work with Chinese intelligence, military and security agencies, Zhenhua monitors the subject’s digital footprint across social media platforms, maintains an “information library,” which includes content not just from news sources, forums, but also from papers, patents, bidding documents, even positions of recruitment. Significantly, it builds a “relational database”, which records and describes associations between individuals, institutions, and information. Collecting such massive data and weaving in public or sentiment analysis around these targets, Zhenhua offers “threat intelligence services.”
