Laura Whitmore has built a pub in her garden complete with Guinness on tap

IRISH TV presenter Laura Whitmore has given fans a glimpse insider the incredible pub she had built in the garden of the flat she shares with fiancé Iain Stirling.

The cosy-looking bar has already been christened The Snug and features a few neat nods to the happy couple’s Celtic heritage.

While Stirling’s Scottish roots shine through thanks to the pub’s fetching tartan seats, Whitmore’s Irish heritage is represented in the best possible way – with Guinness on tap.

That’s not the only drink on offer at The Snug, of course, which welcomed its first visitors this past Saturday.

Whitmore shared a picture from inside the pub on Instagram, with the merry couple entertaining a group of friends in the bar.

In a reference to the classic bar-based sitcom Cheers, she captioned the picture:

"Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came...’ The Snug EST 2020."

Those cheers could prove short-lived, however, following the introduction of new restrictions across the UK limiting any social gatherings to a maximum of six people.

The newly-engaged couple will not be short of celebrity visitors though.

Gaby Roslin, fellow presenter Ore Oduba and comedian Joel Dommett have all expressed an interest in enjoying a pint or two in the company of Whitmore and Stirling.

According to The Irish Sun, the pub was designed and built by London-based construction company Kennedy Build.

Stirling and Whitmore got engaged earlier this year, after the Scottish comedian popped the question while the couple were on holiday.
