After months of waiting, Pixar’s Onward is finally coming to Disney Plus in the UK and Ireland. It will be available on the platform from Friday 2 October 2020 and will come at no extra cost to subscribers.

The film has been available on Disney+ in the US since 3 April 2020, a couple of weeks after its theatrical release. The film's home release was brought forward due to the pandemic affecting cinemas, but the release was exclusive to those in America.

Onward stars the voices of Tom Holland and Chris Pratt playing the roles of two elf brothers - Ian and Barley Lightfoot. The two embark on an extraordinary quest to spend some time with their late father. However, once their mother discovers that they are missing, she enlists the help of a manticore to help bring her sons home.

The film joins the latest big Disney+ release – Mulan. Mulan is available to watch on the platform for an additional premium subscription – find out how to watch it here.

If you want to watch Onward and don’t yet have a Disney+ subscription, you can sign up on the website for £5.99 per month, or £59.99 per year. On it you can watch shows and movies from the universes of Marvel and Star Wars, as well as over thirty seasons of The Simpsons.
