Louis Smith expecting first baby with girlfriend Charlie Bruce

Breaking the news on Instagram, Louis wrote: "Doing life on my terms. A big surprise and it’s amazing to be having a baby girl with my women @charliebruce1990.
"In this crazy time and during a global struggle I wish everyone a happy life and a world of positivity. Find the light in darkness’s and the hope at then end of a tunnel. Life is full of ups and downs and right now we are taking an up."
Louis, 31, shared a sweet video of himself and Charlie popping a gender reveal balloon which shot out pink confetti confirming that the happy couple are expecting a daughter.
Brunette bombshell Charlie also broke the news over on her Instagram page as she wrote: "'We are so elated to announce that we are having a baby girl!! Due date 19.2.21" alongside a short clip from their precious party.
After months of speculation that they were an item, Louis and Charlie made things official in February 2019 when they shared a loved-up couple's photo while on a romantic getaway.
Charlie caused chaos online when she labelled Louis as 'her boy' in the cute snap.
Since debuting their whirlwind romance, the perfect pair have continued to gush over one another across social media.
Louis, who previously dated former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh, stunned fans two years ago when he announced his retirement gymnastics.
The Strictly champion chose to take a new career path which led him to London's West End.
Breaking the unexpected news in a public statement when he wrote: "The day that every sportsman and woman knows will come at some point has finally arrived for me, as today I’m announcing my retirement from competitive gymnastics after 25 years in the sport."
The former gymnast explained that he had hoped to make it to the Olympics before making his final decision.
"For the past 18 months my intention had always been to return to full training this month, ahead of competing in the upcoming World Cup series of competitions, so as to hopefully qualify my place at the Tokyo Olympics.
"Recently, with the changes in the qualification criteria, in addition to exciting opportunities that I’ve been presented with as I look to the next stage of my career beyond gymnastics, I had to make the very difficult decision to finally hang up my leotard.'
"In doing so, my eternal thanks has to go to my coach Paul Hall, who has been there with me through it all and without whom I would never have reached the heights I did in the sport."
Louis later revealed that he was set to embark on a showbiz career.
