Ohwow, Founded By Indian Entrepreneur, Among Techstar’s Iowa Seeding List
by OB BureauBhubaneshwar: Ohwow Inc, an American app-developing startup, is the only company founded by an Indian in which Techstars will be investing.
American seed accelerator Techstar announced a list of 10 companies under its Iowa program, which focuses on startups addressing innovations across a broad technology landscape.
Making it to that elite group of 10 is our homegrown ‘Ohwow’. The startup has two apps in the market — Ohwow and BharatShare, a file-sharing app. The company is founded by Utkarsh Roy, a Stanford alumni.
The cohort will run for 13 weeks, from September to December, 2020. Startups included in the programme will receive about $20,000 in form of funds. They will also have the option of taking an additional $100,000 in convertible notes.
The programme is being led by Techstars Iowa Managing Director Kerty Levy, reported clayandmilk.com.
