Poonch DC office, JU, Parade College closed as staff test positive

JAMMU, Sep 8: Citing reasons of sudden surge in covid 19 infected cases inside campus and offices, authorities have closed the DC office Poonch, University of Jammu and Women College Parade as several employees found positive in RAT test campaign.
The authorities in Poonch district have closed the Deputy Commissioner’s office as 15 employees have tested positive for fatal Coronavirus, officials said Tuesday.
Recently, a sampling was conducted for office and reports were received after which 15 officials of various sections have been tested positive,
They said that as a precautionary measure, the DC office has been closed and sanitization has been started. “Office shall remain closed till sanitization is completed,” the officials said.
Meanwhile, DC Poonch Rahul Yadav appealed people not to visit office for next few days and to contact him and other officials on phone in case of any urgency.
Meanwhile, the University of Jammu authority has closed the campus for the next three after 100 employees reported positive during RAT test. The JU Authority has decided to close the campus and directed all the employees go for RAT test.
The Govt Women College Parade has also closed the college campus after report of positive cases
Inside the college. The college has been closed for the next two days and all employees have been asked to go for COVID 19 test before coming to college.
