Shooting of Mayabazar 2016 Tamil remake goes on floors today
The shooting of Sundar C's Mayabazar 2016 Tamil remake began in Chennai today. The Kannada film was a hit and had released in earlier this year.
by Zoom DigitalRecently, it was reported that Sundar C will be producing the Tamil remake of the super hit Kannada film Mayabazar 2016, which was released earlier in February this year and received positive reviews. Starring Vasishta Simha and Chaithra Rao in the lead roles, the film was directed by Radhakrishna Reddy and it was bankrolled by the Kannada Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar’s home banner PRK Productions.
Today, the filmmaker kick-started the work for his Avni Movies production no.6 and started the shooting of the remake with the muhurat puja today in Chennai. Prasanna, Shaam, Ashwin Kakumanu, Yogi Babu, and Shruthi Marathi are a part of the lead cast. The Tamil remake of Maya Bazaar will be directed by Sundar C's Badri.
Prasanna is playing the role of a cop in the crime comedy film as he was spotted in a cop uniform at the shooting spot. Raiza Wilson is also reportedly playing a key role in the remake, and the music of the film will be scored by Sathya, who is also composing for Aranmanai 3.
Sundar C, who is next directing the third part of his popular horror series Aranmanai, which will star himself along with Arya, Rashi Khanna, Sakshi Agarwal, Andrea Jeremiah and others. The movie will be produced by his home banner Avni Movies.
The shooting of the film was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic spread when it was progressing steadily in Jaipur. Now that the government has permitted for film shootings to begin, Sundar C is expected to start the work soon.
He had last directed Action, a spy thriller that had Vishal, Tamannaah, Yogi Babu, Kabir Singh Dulhan in principal roles. Shot in several international locations, the film was produced by R. Ravindran under the banner Trident Arts.
