Five held for conducting job interviews in K'pada

The Aul police on Saturday nabbed five persons, including four Kerala-based persons of a Delhi-based placement agency and a local agent, who were conducting job interviews by violating Covid 19 guidelines.

The police also seized four laptops, two printers and 10 mobile phones from the arrested persons.

The arrested five agents were identified as Manoj Shanmughan Panamukkathu(48), of  Panamukkathu under Trichur  district of Kerala , Anoop K of Kundil house under Palakkad in Kerala, Selvaraj(34) of Mattathumoola of Tiruvananthapuram, Vincent Saji  K J(51) of Kuttikezaakethic(M) of Eranakumal district besides Sk Habizul(32) of Rasulpur under Aul police station in Kendrapada, informed Aul police station IIC  Salil Kumar Pradhan.

They represented Delhi- based placement Agency "M/S Staris Group ” and were conducting the interview at Singiri-based Suvam Kalyani Mandap.

When the matter came to the notice of district Collector, Samarth Verma, he immediately directed the IIC of Aul and the District Labour Officer to conduct raid and take legal action against the violators of Covid-19 protocols.

Later, Sarpanch of Singiri, Manas Ranjan Das lodged FIR against the five persons.
