217 Covid-19 cases and 207 recoveries reported in Qatar on Sept 13

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 217 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 207 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 118,682

Out of the 217 new cases, 203 are community cases and 14 from travellers returning from abroad.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 121,740 and there are 2853 active cases under treatment. So far, 205 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

Ministry conducted 5192 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 691,031 tests. There are 37 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 408.

Four patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 50.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing.

- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.

- Wearing a face mask.

- Washing hands regularly.
