Bigg Boss 14 to premiere on this date; makers release new promo
by Mumbai MirrorThe makers of Salman Khan’s much-controversial TV reality show Bigg Boss on Sunday announced that the first episode of the show is all set to premiere from October 3, 2020.
The official Twitter handle of the channel airing the show unveiled a new promo featuring the host Salman.
Rumours and speculations about the brand new season going on air in its stipulated time, given the COVID-19 pandemic, have been put to rest by the makers as the final date of its premiere has been officially announced.
In the promo, Salman’s hands, legs are seen chained, and his face is covered with a mask. He then breaks the chains, takes his mask off, and says that the show will be the answer to 2020 as he announces Bigg Boss 14.
Salman will be hosting the show for the 11th year this time.
While there has been no official confirmation on the names of the contestants yet, speculations are rife that Pavitra Punia, Jasmin Bhasin, Nia Sharma, Zain Imam, and Vivian Dsena are set to enter the house this year.
As a precautionary measure amid the pandemic, unlike every year, this time there will be no live audience and the premiere episode will be shot three days in advance, a source close to the development had informed Mirror.
The previous season of the show was one of the most successful ones in the history of the game show and was even extended by over a month due to the immense demand and popularity. After the stiff competition and numerous fan wars, Sidharth Shukla had emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 13 and Asim Riaz was declared as the first runner up.
