A cyclethon was held to raise awareness for World Suicide Prevention Day on Thursday, September 10.
The event took place in The Neuk which will soon house a brand new one-stop learning shop to reduce male reoffending once funding is secured.

Members of Andys Man Club virtually cycled the 228 kilometres around Scotland’s Andys Man Clubs thanks to Perth Leisure Pool who loaned the club two exercise bikes for the day.
One member joked: “We had hoped for two laps but due to serious headwinds and Dominos pizza we only managed one lap of 228 kilometres.”

For Andys Man Club Perth co-founder Alex McClintock it was an enormous challenge despite being a physical educator at Perth Prison. That is because Alex has been battling chronic fatigue ever since he tested positive for COVID-19 on May 4. He has not been back at work and is signed off for another two months.
He said: “It attacked my whole immune system. I slept for three weeks.”

Alex led an extremely active lifestyle and had initially struggled with being restricted to just one hour of exercise every day at the start of lockdown. But for the past two months, he has been unable to walk more than two kilometres.
Alex said: “It’s only in the past couple of weeks I’ve been cycling a couple of miles and building strength up.”
