Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to make an official approach for Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon.

Despite impressing during a loan period at Sevilla, the 23-year-old has not been able to move up the pecking order at the La Liga champions.

With Real being prepared to sell the Spaniard this summer, his most recent club and Manchester United have been heavily linked with the left-back.

However, the Daily Mail claims that Spurs are ready to renew their interest in the player over the coming weeks.

At a time when Danny Rose will leave the North London outfit, Jose Mourinho requires more first-team competition for Ben Davies.

Given his desire to eventually break into the Real Madrid first XI, it has previously been claimed that Reguilon may favour another loan move or a permanent exit with Real possessing a buy-back clause.
