Environmental Education

Environmentalists and park rangers will visit schools in Tehran and other provinces today, the first day of the new academic year, to educate students on environmental conservation. The program aims to create awareness among students about environmental issues in their cities and encourage them to take responsibility for environmental protection, head of Tehran’s office of Department of Environment, Mohammad Hossein Baazgir said, ISNA reported. It was initiated last year in some cities, but will extend this year to include more schools. The park rangers will visit schools periodically throughout the year to offer environmental education to students and teachers.
