
Pirates Identify Another Potential Signing In In-Form Winger

Fortune Makaringe, Ben Motshwari, Vincent Pule and Gabadinho Mhango are some of the stars who have come in and done well for the team, despite the club’s failure to win trophies.
However, there have been complaints from some sections of the supporters about a need to strengthen in defence with a top and quality defender or two, and the club has seemingly addressed the issue as Bafana Bafana centre-back and captain Thulani Hlatshwayo is expected to be unveiled by the Soweto giants, along with his teammate from Bidvest Wits, Deon Hotto.

Meanwhile, as reported in edition 1190 of Soccer Laduma, Skelem has emerged as the latest transfer target for Bucs, with the 22-year-old having impressed with his performances for Stellenbosch in their first season in the topflight.
“Pirates are interested in Leletu Skelem, as they have been following him, and are impressed with what they have seen,” said the source.

Skelem scored crucial goals against Cape Town City, Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu FC respectively, which all earned the Mother City outfit vital points as the team climbed up the log to finish in a respectable position in their maiden season in the league.
In January this year, Pirates signed Skelem’s former teammate Nkanyiso Zungu, who has done well in the few matches he played leading up to the end of the season.

As reported by the Siya crew, Pirates are expected to also have former Baroka FC midfielder Collins Makgaka joining the team, as coach Josef Zinnbauer will be working on assembling a strong squad to compete for trophies in his first full season with the club.
