Son left his mother’s body on the pavement in Hyderabad, there was no money for funeral

Hyderabad: The body of a 70-year-old woman was allegedly dumped on the pavement by her son in the Banjara Hills area here. Police said on Sunday that the woman had died after suffering fever for four days and her son claimed that he left the mother’s body wrapped in a blanket as she did not have money for the last rites.

Seeing that the body was wrapped in a blanket, the locals informed the police. Police said that during the investigation it was revealed that the woman was begging in the area and later it was also revealed that she lived with her son who is a watchman in an apartment.

He said that the son told the police that he did not have money for the funerals and that the owner of the building could pose a problem for him due to death due to fever, which led him to take such a step.
