Ashley Banjo calls Britain's Got Talent trolls 'racist' as he details vile abuse

by

Ashley Banjo has been sharing some of the horrific racist abuse he's suffered since Diversity's Britain's Got Talent performance.

He was told he would "get his head kicked in" and to "look over his shoulder" after 15,000 people complained to regulator OfCom about their routine.

The troupe performed a dance during last week's show that was influenced by the Black Lives Matter movement and the treatment of black people by the police.

Now Ashley has once again hit back at the racists who have been trolling him after he initially spoke out against the abuse he has been suffering since Saturday's performance.

He had said he "stands by" Diversity's BGT performance, despite all the racist abuse and complaints.

But he's now been forced to come out again and hit back at the trolls who keep hounding him.

Ashley took to Instagram on Monday to share some of the abuse he's received.

One person tweeted him: "Every tweet in support of this Marxist s**t merely increases the likelihood of you getting your head kicked in."

"He wants to start looking over his shoulders now," another told him.

Several told Diversity to "go back to Africa" and compared them to wild animals.

Sharing screenshots of the abuse, Ashley said: "No I don’t mean 'criticism'... I mean 'Racism'. I mean hate... I mean the very thing that makes every single second of that performance and every single complaint worth it.

"I didn't want to even shed light on any of this directly. But here's just a small selection from the past week.

"And please don’t worry about or feel sorry for me... Feel sorry for the people that endure this kind of abuse and have no voice or platform.

"Feel sorry for the people that have been singled out, abused and in some cases murdered because of the colour of their skin.

"The only saving grace is that this is the vast minority... But for all the people asking or wondering - yes it is very real and yes it does exist."
