Terraria got a Switch update for two-player split-screen co-op
You love to see it
by Jordan DevoreIn our continuing "Does it have split-screen co-op?" adventures, here's an update on Terraria.
The Nintendo Switch version – which is pricey and not ideal but good enough for plenty of families – now has two-player split-screen support. That said, the feature only works when your Switch is docked.
Here's how to access it (after downloading the patch):
- Player 1 first needs to start their game normally and enter their world.
- Player 2 can turn on their controller and sign into a (free) system-wide Switch account.
- Player 2 can then select their existing Terraria character or create a new one.
- That's it! Both players can zoom in and out by hitting pause and using ZL or ZR.
Two-player co-op is better than no-player co-op, that's for sure.
Today's update includes "a solid handful of bug fixes," so solo adventurers are also in luck.
