The Reds lost to QPR at the weekend and a reported transfer target has made a decision on his future, it has been claimed

A Lyndon Dykes penalty and an effort from Ilias Chair in added time condemned Nottingham Forest to an opening day 2-0 defeat.
The Reds were toppled at QPR in their first Championship game of the new season, on an afternoon when they were left to rue a number of missed chances.
Tobias Figueiredo’s error conceded the spot-kick early in the second half, while Lewis Grabban spurned a host of good chances, and Ryan Yates hit the bar for the visitors.
Here’s what head coach Sabri Lamouchi had to say afterwards.

TALKING POINTS
Forest correspondent Sarah Clapson looks at five talking points from the game at Loftus Road.
Losing streak
Whether taken in isolation, or within a wider picture of what happened just a few short weeks ago, the first two games of the campaign don’t paint a pretty picture.
A Carabao Cup exit and being beaten in their first Championship match. That’s far from the start Forest wanted, as they look to shake off that Stoke hangover.
Performances, too, have not been the best, although this weekend was slightly better.
Head coach Sabri Lamouchi needs a win. His players need a win. That would have been the case in any season.
They need to get some confidence back, and perhaps a bit of belief. Just something to put further distance between themselves and that City Ground collapse. Something to build on.
MURPHY MAKES TRANSFER DECISION
Reported Nottingham Forest transfer target is interested in a move away from Newcastle United, it has been claimed.
The Magpies winger has been linked with a move to the City Ground, as Sabri Lamouchi fine tunes his squad before the October 5 deadline.
Murphy spent last season on loan with Sheffield Wednesday, and has also been linked with Forest ’s arch rivals Derby County.
However, it is north of the border where Murphy is apparently interested in moving to.
WARBURTON’S CLAIM
Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Warburton has hailed his side for beating a “talented” Nottingham Forest.
The Reds went down 2-0 in their Sky Bet Championship opener on Saturday, with Lyndon Dykes and Ilias Chair bagging the goals for the Hoops.
Tobias Figueiredo’s error conceded the spot-kick early in the second half, while Lewis Grabban spurned a host of good chances, and Ryan Yates hit the bar for Forest.
Warburton, who managed the Reds in 2017, says his QPR players did well to cope with Forest’s “riches”, and explains how the win came about.
