After taking many murky turns, looks like the Hyderabad Police have their prime accused for the suicide case of TV actress Sravani Kondapalli. On Monday evening, the police announced the names of the three accused in the case, which include TikToker Devaraj Reddy, Sai Kumar Reddy and RX 100 producer Ashok Reddy Gummakonda. An FIR against them was filed on Tuesday and both Devaraj and Sai Kumar have been taken into custody. While Ashok Reddy was also served with a notice, the producer did not turn up and has absconded, say Hyderabad Police.

DCP Srinivas spoke to the media and stated, “Sravani has known Sai Kumar Reddy since 2015 and was friendly with him for three years. In 2017, she met Ashok Reddy who produced Premato Karthik and she played a small role in the film. She has known him since then. Later, she met Devaraj Reddy in 2019. Sai did not like Devaraj and Sravani being close and complained to her family about it. They all harassed her to keep her away from him. Ashok Reddy also has a part in this. At a point of time, all three promised to marry her but did not. We have recordings of Sravani saying she is being harassed physically by her parents, Ashok Reddy and Sai. Based on that, we have arrested these individuals. She has committed suicide because she could no longer put up with their harassment.”

On September 8, the 26-year-old actress was found at her Madhura Nagar residence after death by hanging. The family filed a case against her ex-boyfriend Devaraj Reddy for harassing her and leading her to take this step. Devaraj Reddy had then put out a statement stating otherwise and claimed that Sai and her parents were the ones who were harassing her. Audio calls have surfaced online, allegedly to have taken place between the three accused and Sravani, in which she threatens to kill herself because of the distress they caused her.
