Myanmar prisoner flees from Hazaribag jail
by Shailesh SharmaAn prisoner from Myanmar, held for violating immigration norms, fled the detention center of JP Naryan central jail of Hazaribag on Sunday morning.
On receiving the information Hazaribag Superintendent of Police Kartik S reached the jail and enquired about the matter from Jail Superintendent Kumar Chandersekhar. The jail Superintendent said that the detainee, Md. Abdullah escaped through the window of his cell after cutting the rods of the window.
Kumar also informed to the SP that his photo along with his appearance detail has been shared with all the police stations of the district. The Jail Superintendent said that he will be caught soon.
Kumar further said that Abdullah was arrested by the railway police on the charge of illegally entering India without visa or passport. He along with three other Bangaladeshi inmates were brought to Hazaribag central jail on February 26 from Dumka jail.
Hazaribag SP said that the police have also shared the information with other districts and with the police stations in bordering areas of Bihar. He said that the police have formed the special teams for searching for Abdullah on the different suspected locations.
