Amit Shah will be discharged from AIIMS today, recruited to look after Covid-19

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has recovered and will be discharged from AIIMS on Monday. Shah was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) located here on August 18 for post-COVID-19 illness care. 

“Union Home Minister Amit Shah was admitted to AIIMS for post-COVID-19 illness care,” AIIMS said in a statement. He has recovered and may be discharged soon. ” 

Shah (55) said on Twitter on August 2 that he has been found infected with the coronavirus. He underwent treatment for infection at Medanta Hospital and was discharged after becoming infection-free. According to the statement released earlier by AIIMS, he was admitted to the hospital on August 18 after complaining of fatigue and body ache a few days after being discharged. 

The country saw 78,761 new cases of coronavirus infection in a single day, after which the total number of infections on Sunday crossed 35 million. In the week before, the number of infected had exceeded 3 million. This information came out in the data provided by the Union Ministry of Health. Ministry said that till Sunday, 27,13,933 patients of Covid-19 have been cured. 

According to the data, the total number of infections increased to 35,42,733 and the number of deaths from Covid-19 reached 63,498. According to the data, 948 patients of Covid-19 died in the last twenty-four hours.

The rate of recovery of the victims of the epidemic has increased to 76.61 percent and the death rate has come down to 1.79 percent. 

According to the data received from the ministry, 7,65,302 patients of Covid-19 are currently being treated in the country, which is 21.60 percent of the total cases of infection. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 10,55,027 samples were tested on Saturday. ICMR said that as of August 29, a total of 4,14,61,636 samples have been tested.
