New Nokia Mobile design patent submission appeared at EUIPO

Nokia Mobile filed a request for a new design patent at the European Union Intellectual Property Office or shorter EUIPO. The filing at EUIPO was made on 3rd September, while the date the request was published is 7th September.
The design patent carries the design number 008159289-0001 and that’s about it what we know. This design is the latest for which Nokia Mobile requested legal protection, so it is safe to assume it is for a new devices. Last month, Nokia Mobile filed requests for two design patents that still remain in the phase of “Registered and subject to deferment”, but not fully published so we cannot see the actual design.
In any case, Nokia Mobile is rumored to announce new devices on 22nd September and we might then see the designs Nokia Mobile is trying to protect. 🙂
