8 Taliban Killed in North Afghanistan
by Mohammad Arif ShevaBALKH, Afghanistan – At least eight Taliban militants killed in a clash with Afghan security forces in Charbolak district of Balkh province in North Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defense confirmed.
A group of Taliban stormed in Sabzi Kar area of Charbolak district, while plotting for a terrorist attack, according to the Ministry.
Afghan defense forces defied the militant group, killing at least eight members of the Taliban during shootouts.
Meanwhile, security official seized a number of arms and ammunition from the area.
Taliban did not immediately comment on the claim.
