8Gujarat IPS officers get appointments

The 2016-’18 batch officers were appointed as sub-divisional police officers after their training in Hyderabad

The State government has appointed eight IPS officers of the 2016-2018 batches as sub-divisional police officers after the end of their phase-2 training at SVPNPA, Hyderabad. Officers who received appointments include Safin Hasan, the youngest officer to have cleared the IPS in the country.

Shefali Barwal, a 2016 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as sub divisional police officer (SDPO) at Dahod, while Dr Lavina V Sinha of 2017 batch has been appointed SDPO Viramgam. Abhay Soni has been appointed SDPO Amreli, while Sushil Agrawal (2017) is SDPO Palanpur.

Hasan Safin Mustafaali of 2018 batch has been appointed SDPO, Bhavnagar. Pooja Yadav also of the 2018 batch has been appointed SDPO Tharad in the Banaskantha district, Vikas Sunda and Om Prakash Jat both of 2018 batch are now SDPO Bharuch and Veraval respectively.

Meanwhile, with the appointment of 2016-18 batch officers, several police officers have been transferred. SDPO Palanpur A R Jankant has been appointed ACP, special branch, Ahmedabad, while SDPO Dahod Kalpesh Chavda is now DySP, headquarters at Kheda in place of DySP V J Rathod who has been transferred as DySP, IB Gandhinagar. SDPO M H Thakar has been appointed DySP, Bhavnagar division.

SDPO S K Vala has been transferred as SDPO Vadodara. Bharuch SDPO D P Vaghela is now assistant director ACB, Ahmedabad. DySP SC/ST cell Devbhoomi Dwarka B S Vyas is now DySP, headquarters, Ahmedabad rural in place of DySP S H Sarda who has been appointed DySP, SC/ST cell, Devbhoomi Dwarka.
