Borderlands 3 Getting Free PS5 Upgrade, Four Player Split-Screen

Who's dancin' now?

Borderlands 3 is getting a free PlayStation 5 upgrade, and it’ll allow you to play with up to four buddies in split-screen if you want to. There'll also be full cross-play across consoles. Alternatively, if you want to play solo, then you’ll have the option to enjoy the experience in 4K at 60 frames-per-second on Sony’s next-gen console – and, even better, if you already own the game on the PlayStation 4, you won’t have to pay a penny for the upgrade.

Don’t worry if you’re not planning to get a PS5 just yet, however, as Gearbox is also patching the PS4 release to include vertical split-screen, after it’s horizontal option was widely criticised. In other loosely related Borderlands 3 news, the next DLC drop will add entirely new Skill Trees to each Vault Hunter, so there’s lots to look forward to if you’re still running-‘n’-gunning your way through this looter shooter.
