Aston Villa transfer news: Chelsea's Conor Gallagher is being linked with a move to Leeds United with Marcelo Bielsa's side said to been to sign him on a permanent deal
by Richard CusackLeeds United would like to sign Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher on a permanent deal, it is being reported.
Aston Villa and West Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion have also been linked with a move for Gallagher, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Premier League pair would like to sign him on loan for the 2020-21 season.
Villa target Gallagher is said to be close to signing a new deal at Stamford Bridge before being loaned out by Frank Lampard.
The England Under-21 international enjoyed his first taste of senior football last season, joining Charlton Athletic on loan for the first half of 2019-20.

Gallagher scored six times and registered four assists at The Valley before leaving Lee Bowyer's side for promotion-chasing Swansea City in January.
He failed to score in 21 outings, but contributed seven assists as Swansea failed in their bid to finish in the Championship play-off spots.
Leeds have registered their interest in signing Gallagher on a permanent deal, with Marcelo Bielsa's newly-promoted side revamping their squad after promotion.
