Last season’s surprise package, Sheffield United, welcome Wolves to Bramall Lane on Monday for their opening game of the 2020/21 season.

The Blades finished their first Premier League season since 2006/07 in ninth place, two places and five points behind Monday’s visitors to Bramall Lane.

There will be a new man in net for Chris Wilder’s side, with Aaron Ramsdale signing from Bournemouth in place of last season’s number one, Dean Henderson, who returned to Manchester United after a very successful loan spell in South Yorkshire.

Sheffield United have also signed Welsh youngster Ethan Ampadu on loan from Chelsea, and winger Oliver Burke from West Brom.

Meanwhile Wolves, who missed out on qualification to the Europa League on the final day of last season, will be looking to get nearer to the top four this year.

To help with that push, they’ve signed 18-year-old striker Fábio Silva from Porto.

All Premier League games in September are being shown live on TV.

For those wanting to watch this match, Sky Sports is what fans will need access to.

The broadcaster’s Main Event and Premier League channels will be showing the game, coverage beginning at 5pm.

The match will not be on free-to-air TV, so fans will need to pay to watch. Those who do can stream the game, either through Sky Go or Now TV.

Brighton vs Chelsea will also be shown by Sky.

Sheffield Utd vs Wolves odds

Both sides have hugely contrasting opening day records.

Sheffield United have only managed to win one of their previous six opening league matches of the season, while Wolves travel to Yorkshire unbeaten in their opening league match since 2012/13 (W3, D4).

Hence thepools.com's odds of 11/8 Wolves and 12/5 Sheffield United.

The visitors have lost on their last two visits but while last season was Sheffield United’s highest league finish since 1991/92, they ranked bottom in the 2019/20 PL for total shots (353). So don't discount an opening day draw at 2/1.
