Red Bull deliver fastest pit stop of the day at Mugello
by Louis ShawThe Red Bull Racing pit crew recovered well from last weekend at Monza. Last week the RB16's pit stops were not good enough for a place in the top ten, but after the second Italian Grand Prix in 2020, Red Bull 'just' regained top spot in the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award.
The four Alexander Albon tyres were swapped by Red Bull in just 2.02. As a result, the Austrian race team can add 25 points to the standings. The lead over Williams and Mercedes will again increase.
Mercedes scored a second and seventh place. The German world champions were more than two tenths too slow to be the fastest day of the day. The top three is completed by Ferrari, who completed Sebastian Vettel's pit stop in 2.40 seconds.
