Issues

Sloppy vertical and horizontal scrolling. Nice try with the bonus goal.

It is possible to crash the app via landscape manipulations :(

STR:
1. Trim range on any chart to minimum
2. zoom in on any point
3. trim the range there on minimum
4. rotate the device 70 degrees
5. press zoom in and at the same time rotate other 20 degrees
6. rotate back to portrait
7. trimmer handles are now touching each other ;)
8. try to further minimize the range

Sorry for the edge cases with the landscape, i know how pain in the ass it is :)

Great app, one of the best i think, hope u win :)

Selection info shows “All” line even when only one data type is selected.

Yeah, it makes sense to hide it in that case. I see your point.

At zero value lines seem thinner than usual.

Seems like a bug. Noted.

“All” values are not animated the same way all the other data values are animated.

Lucky Snail Apr 17, 2019 at 20:09
Yep, that's a bug.
Sergey Dikovitsky Apr 17, 2019 at 20:25
100% label does not fit.
P.S.: Sorry for all this bug. One of the best work imho, the only issue is laggy animations.

Don't be sorry. Not for things like that, at least. Those are totally fair points you brought up.

# All apps
- A jump when starting to drag range selector, no way to start smoothly. (range_selector_jump.MP4)
- No separators above and below charts as in design. Just hiding all separators in a table is easy, try hiding them only where they need to be hidden.
- Circles indicating selected points on chart are weird, not by design.
- Switching mode and zooming at the same time leads to Y grid disappearance. (switch_mode_and_zoom_out.MP4) Kind of has been reported.
- X labels stutter when you move range selector casually (x_labels_stutter.MP4)
- Range selector chart preview lines are too fat, and design is wrong. (range_selector_fat.PNG)
- Range selector overlay does not have rounded cornerd, square instead.
- Y Values could have been rounded a little prettier to avoid values like 741,4k and so on.

— The app slightly slow when scaling the third and fifth graphs, zooming the first graph.
— Delay on zooming.

Selection info is never centered at the selection line, even when circles are far below it.
iPhone SE
Lucky Snail Apr 17, 2019 at 21:18
Yeah, now I can actually see how it is supposed to work. Info should be centred if it doesn't overlap with the selected values. Thanks for the insight.

Selection info shows date in the zoomed in mode. It should only display selected time.
iPhone SE
Lucky Snail Apr 17, 2019 at 19:57
That was intentional. It shows the date of the selected position only when multiple dates are selected with the range slider, e.g. 18 April - 19 April. If the range contains only one date, as it should by default after zooming, selection will show only the time.

Chart 4 after zooming has strange time intervals.
Lucky Snail Apr 17, 2019 at 21:38
I see what you mean. Can't deny that, beautifying time ranges wasn't really my first priority.

Percentage chart values are not animated the same way all the other chart values are animated.
Lucky Snail Apr 17, 2019 at 20:09
That was intentional. When both values and corresponding percents were animated, it was too much for my eyes to handle, otherwise it were two different kinds of animations in the same line. Sadly, there were no gifs clarifying value changing in that particular chart.
Sergey Dikovitsky Apr 17, 2019 at 20:16
Laggy chart line animations.
iPhone 5s / iOS 12.2
Lucky Snail Apr 17, 2019 at 20:36
Yeah, I knew about that one. Didn't have enough time to fix. I'm just a Snail, at the end of the day.

Zoom in/out transitions blocks user interactions.
iPhone 5s / iOS 12.2
Lucky Snail Apr 17, 2019 at 20:51
As intended. I'd rather face that critique than spend another day debugging all possible user interactions in transitions. That was the idea, anyway.
Sergey Dikovitsky Apr 17, 2019 at 20:20
Pie chart animations lag.
iPhone 5s / iOS 12.2
Lucky Snail Apr 17, 2019 at 20:59
And it was right in front of my nose. Good find!
Landscape mode sometimes causes the trimmer view to have incorrect UI presentation
iphone 6 12.1.4
holding a trimmer handle during landscape rotation clips the chart and minichart

or just rotating when pressing zoomout

axis disappear on zoomout, bug out the dates and make the app perform and animate weird
Extended touch detectors on the trimmer prevent the user from scrolling it on the minimum scale
iphone 6 12.1.4
weird step of labels of x axis
iphone 5s; v.10.2
Pie chart shows the whole data range instead of 7 days
iphone6 12.1.4
mini stacked bar chart blinks when applying filters

# Chart 1
- Sometimes the line points are way different from the Y-grid. In example, the 2000 value is supposed to be directly on the 2k line, where in reality it is seriously off. (line_inaccuracy.jpeg)
- There is a noticable lag when moving range selector fast. (fast_range_selector.mp4)

# Chart 2
- Y labels can become totally unreadable (unreadable_y_values.jpeg).

# Chart 4
- Range selector is not supposed to be visible by design when zoomed in.

# Chart 5
- Zooming into pie chart shows dates range instead of a day, and percents do not match the ones that were on the values view.
iPhone SE / iOS 12
maxY on chart has to be on the same position as y-coordinate of the highest y-value by design
wrong spaces between horizontal lines and values
date labels overlap each other
can't start new filter toggle while previous one is animating
Critical issue: 35 fps during 1st chart scaling on iPhone 6+. For more details read my comments about performance of entry213.
dates are clipped
iPhone 5, iOS 10.3
y-line on area chart doesn't match the required design

BTW, I really like your zoom animations.
