I avoided scenes where the character is talking, because I don’t think it would make a very good GIF if lips are moving but of course there is no sound.
Initially I exported my GIFs to barely under 300kb. But when I uploaded the GIFs to the contest during the last two days, I realized the Send Gif method does its own compression. My GIFs ended up having much smaller size. A 299kb file would become like 50kb. Of course, this meant I could have packed more quality in the files. So I quickly adjusted the resolution of my GIFs, upping most of them to 480p. For the GIFs, especially longer and more visually complicated ones, that would exceed 300kb in 480p, I tried various intermediate resolutions to find a max resolution still under 300kb. This I had to experiment with the bot because I didn’t know how the file would be compressed and what size the bot would say until I uploaded the file.
